Privacy policy

exelens (“we”) provides a service that answers questions about data in your warehouse. For data in your workspace we act as a processor on behalf of the customer that owns the workspace; for account and billing data we act as a controller. Contact: privacy@exelens.ai.

• Account data: name, email address, sign-in identifiers and preferences.
• Workspace content: connection settings, imported view definitions, questions, answers, boards and the pinned results you choose to keep.
• Warehouse rows, only temporarily, while a question is being answered (see Data at rest on our security page).
• Billing data, processed by Stripe. We don’t store card numbers.
• Usage and diagnostic data: pages used, errors and performance measurements, without the contents of your data.

To provide and secure the service, to bill for it, to support you and to improve the product. We do not sell personal data, and we do not use your workspace content to train AI models.

Questions and the data needed to answer them are sent to the AI provider whose key you add, under your own agreement with that provider. Workspace policies let you limit what the model sees, down to aggregates only or column names only.

• Amazon Web Services: hosting, storage, email delivery and sign-in.
• Stripe: payments and invoicing.
• Sentry: error reports, with personal data and request bodies removed.

Chats are kept for the period set in your workspace (90 days by default). Pinned results are kept until you delete them or the retention period ends. When a workspace is deleted, its content is removed after a 30-day grace period, and from backups within 35 days after that.

You can access, correct, export or delete your personal data, and object to or restrict some processing. Workspace members should contact their workspace owner first. Email privacy@exelens.ai and we will respond within 30 days.

Workspaces in the EU region keep workspace content in the EU. Where personal data moves outside the EU or UK, we rely on the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.

We use only cookies needed to keep you signed in and to remember preferences. We don’t use advertising cookies.

We will post changes here and, for material changes, notify workspace owners by email at least 30 days in advance.
